Today on the blog, a photo report from the Minecraft-themed birthday party for my son Adam. As usual, it didn’t go without problems, and it’s only thanks to my brother-in-law Piotr that I can show you the party details today. It turned out that in the heat of preparations, as guests were already entering the house, and I was frantically running around the kitchen like a maniac setting up tables and chairs, I accidentally touched the camera lens with a finger smeared with a bit of mascarpone (well, okay, I admit it, I was snacking on macarons!!!). Unaware of anything, I took photos with that fingerprint… And when I tried to view the photos in the evening… (beep beep censorship)… the rest is history :DDD Anyway, my brother-in-law Piotr saved my photos, and most importantly, Adam will have a nice souvenir on the blog :))
So, let’s move on to the birthday celebration. This year, I decided to surprise my Adam and prepared a Minecraft-themed party for him. For those of you who don’t know what it is, let me explain that it’s a very popular game in which you create and build everything – houses, worlds – out of blocks 😀 (Okay, that’s my definition of the game, but I’m not up to date :D). So, the theme was Minecraft, and the cake resembled a PlayStation 4 console and controller. I had quite a rollercoaster ride with the cake too because I baked the sponge cake too soft, so I had to fight with it a bit to cover it with icing, which made it thicker than I intended. To this day, I’m kicking myself that it wasn’t perfectly even and as planned… :(( The cake probably won’t impress many of you, just a black box, is it even edible??!?! But believe me, for an 11-year-old child, it was a dream come true 😀 Adam was thrilled! With the whole setup, the PlayStation cake, and especially the controller, which he asked to be cut first, and he took the rest to school the next day to share with his classmates (?!?!? – don’t ask me how they managed to eat it together :DD). Making the controller was the most enjoyable part for me; I worked on it wonderfully and finished it very quickly :))
Adam’s expression when he entered the room and saw the table filled with sweets was priceless 🙂 As I mentioned before during Nadia’s birthday, these expressions, these reactions, are the most wonderful thank you for the party preparations… Adam admired the game details on the cookies and cupcakes, the printed Minecraft-style decorations, the “Healing Potion,” and the decorative balloons 🙂 In the evening after the party, he thanked me so beautifully that I cried like a beaver with emotion half the night :DDD
Now I invite you to view the photo gallery. Once again, please forgive me for the poor photo quality, but I guess I will never learn that when you’re taking photos, you should NOT EAT 😀
